It’s actually interesting to see that nurses aren’t the only ones being treated like shit by general surgeons, plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons, etc. My favorite: telling a plastic surgeon (who the patient was admitted to) that a post-op cleft-palate repair was having increasing stridor at rest – “well we taught that mother to pull the tongue stitch if the tongue is going back in the throat” “well actually that’s not the problem, it’s…” “no that’s definitely the problem, and by the way I don’t have time to sit here and wait for you to answer the phone, next time you need to pick up much faster.” Hooray for your overwhelming ego and general douchebaggery!
